Download Ultrasn0w – unlock iPhone 3G Firmware 3.0 (OS 3.0) – ultrasnow ultimate Guide

unlock iphone ultra sn0wAfter a 4 months of wait from the announcement of iPhone 3.0 , iPhone dev team announced the release of jailbreak and Unlock tools for iPhone 3G 3.0.

It was mentioned in the earlier post that iPhone 3G users require ultrasn0w to unlock their device.

Prerequisites

1. Upgrade iPhone OS to 3.0 if not yet done
2. Jailbreak the device using PwnageTool or Redsn0w.
3. T-Mobile USA users need to turn off 3G mode.
4. Ultrasn0w works only on Baseband 04.26.08.

Installation procedure of Ultrasnow from cydia.
1. Run Cydia
2. Add the repo repo666.ultrasn0w.com
3. Search for Ultrasn0w, install it
4. Reboot your 3G iPhone
5. Done !!!


Note
This hack has to be done at owner’s risk.
Plese don’t try to unlock iPhone 3GS with ultrasn0w (current version)
QuickPWN is replaced with Redsn0w
Yellowsn0w is replace with Ultrasn0w
PwnageTool  can be used only on MAC where as Redsn0w can be used on Mac and Windows

    How do you install ultrasnow via cydia if iphone does not recognize simcard and therefore cannot access any applications.

    Had the same problem at first. Just get an AT&T sim from somebody (doesn’t even have to have service or a plan on the SIM) and put that in your phone and reconnect to itunes. This will allow you to access your programs so that you may install ultras0w, unlocking your iphone. :)
