wordpress chrome bug
Just now i faced a strange _mcePaste issue on WordPress, I am not sure if you all face the same problem. This is really annoying me a lot and after a research on internet I could find a workaround / solution for this nasty issue. Instead of beating around the bush let me straight away get in the the problem.

_mcePaste Problem

I am using Google Chrome to login to Wp-admin console for managing my posts, I use to type in notepad (windows application) and then cut and paste the content to my WordPress editor then save. But last few days I could see that content is getting duplicated on editor and I need to remove the duplicate manually every time, when i dig into it a bit more I could notice that there are some extra <div id=”_mcePaste”> tags getting created when we check the html tab of wordpress editor. I was wondering from where these unnecessary tags are getting created. Also it is noticed that <br> and extra line breaks are not working as expected. Altogether it is a crappy issue.

what i noticed additionally
On further investigation I had noticed this behavior on wordpress is only occurring when i use Google chrome, everything works fine with Internet explorer (IE) and Mozilla Firefox browsers.

<div id=”_mcePaste”> Solution and fix.

It was quite relaxing that I was able to find a workaround for this crappy issue. On Google chrome you need to copy the content from notepad to html tab of the editor and all the problems are resolved. No more additional tags and formatting is perfect. But still Google need to fix this issue and hope they will do it in their next release.
